That Stuff I Found Along the Way

Sahtea

Ingredients:

  • 1 Gal Kombucha
  • 750 ml Water
  • 5 g Fresh Rosemary
  • 5 Bay Leaves
  • 10 g Fresh Mint
  • 5 g Elderflower (dried)
  • 10 g Juniper Berries
  • 40 g Sugar

Method:

  1. Boil all ingredients in water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Let mixture cool to less than 32C (90F).
  3. Remove all spices.
  4. Mix in sugar.
  5. Add spice syrup to kombucha.
  6. Bottle.

Notes:

Using a bag for the spices will make getting spices out of water easier.
