Pizza
Ingredients:
Sauce:
- 2 Cans of Diced Tomatoes in Sauce
- 2 Cloves of Garlic (minced)
- 1 T Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Rosemary
- 1/2 tsp Thyme
- 1 Bay Leaf
- 1 tsp Basil
- Salt to taste
Dough:
- 100% Flour
- 10% Yeast
- 2% Salt
- 2% Honey
- 2% Olive Oil
- 60% Water
- 10% Gluten
- Corn Meal for pan dusting
Method:
Sauce:
- In a large sauce pan heal oil.
- Saute garlic until it begins to brown (don't over cook as it will become bitter).
- Add canned tomatoes and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until it reduces to a sauce like consistency.
- Add all spices and cook for another 5 minutes.
Dough:
- Mix all ingredients together and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Knead until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place in oiled bowl and cover with moist towel.
- Let rise until dough has doubled in size.
Combine:
- Preheat oven to highest setting.
- Cut dough into two parts.
- Press dough outwards from center to make a circle, leaving the center a bit thicker than the edges.
- Spread a small amount of sauce over the dough from the center outward.
- Put your favorite toppings on the pizza.
- Place pizza in hot oven cook until crust becomes golden brown and the toppings are cooked to desired doneness.
