Veggie Fish and Chips

Ingredients

Fish:

  • 2 Vegetarian Fish Fillets (sliced)
  • 1 tsp Mushroom Extract
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt
  • 3 C Flour

Batter:

  • 3 C Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 C Corn Flour
  • 6 C Chilled Sparkling Water
  • 1 T Oil
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder

Chips:

  • 3 medium Potatoes

Methods:

Batter:

  1. Mix ingredients to form a batter and leave for 10 minutes.

Fish:

  1. Sprinkle the fillet with salt and mushroom extract.
  2. Lightly coat the fillet with plain flour.
  3. Fully dip the fillet into the batter mixture.
  4. Deep fry until golden brown (approx. 7-8 minutes)

Chips:

  1. Chop potatoes into thick slices while leaving skins intact.
  2. Deep fry until golden brown (approx. 10-12 minutes).
