Veggie Fish and Chips
Ingredients
Fish:
- 2 Vegetarian Fish Fillets (sliced)
- 1 tsp Mushroom Extract
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 3 C Flour
Batter:
- 3 C Self-Rising Flour
- 1 C Corn Flour
- 6 C Chilled Sparkling Water
- 1 T Oil
- 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
Methods:
Batter:
- Mix ingredients to form a batter and leave for 10 minutes.
Fish:
- Sprinkle the fillet with salt and mushroom extract.
- Lightly coat the fillet with plain flour.
- Fully dip the fillet into the batter mixture.
- Deep fry until golden brown (approx. 7-8 minutes)
Chips:
- Chop potatoes into thick slices while leaving skins intact.
- Deep fry until golden brown (approx. 10-12 minutes).
