Sopapillas
Ingredients:
- 2 C Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 T Plant Based Butter
- 3/4 C Water
- Oil for Frying
Method:
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Slowly mix in wet ingredients until a smooth ball is formed.
- Let sit for 20 minutes.
- Roll out into a rectangle that is a 1/4" thick.
- Cut into squares about 3"x3".
- Heat oil to 375F.
- Fry each sopapilla until it puffs up and turns golden.
Note:
Sometimes the sopapillas just don't puff up, but they still taste good.
