Whole Wheat Sandwich Bread

Ingredients:

  • 450 + 50 g 100% Whole Wheat Flour
  • 150 + 250 ml Pea Milk (or Oat Milk)
  • 3 T Plant Based Butter
  • 1 T Dry Yeast
  • 1 T Maple Syrup or Honey
  • 2 tsp Salt

Method:

  1. Prepare the tangzhong by combing 50 g of flour and 250 ml of pea milk in small pot. Simmer on medium low while stirring until mixture becomes paste like.
  2. Set aside and let cool until almost room temperature.
  3. Mix all ingredients together and knead.
  4. Place in 12" bread pan and let rise until dough is slightly above rim.
  5. (Optional) Use a lame (or sharp knife) to score top of loaf twice down center about 1/2" apart.
  6. Bake in preheated 350F oven for 35 minutes.
