Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA Clone
Ingredients:
Specialty Grains
- 0.75 lbs. Dingemans Caramel Pils
- 0.25 lbs. Briess Caramel 120
Fermentables:
- 3 lbs. Pilsen Malt Syrup (boil for 60 min.)
- 9 lbs. Pilsen Malt Syrup (boil for 15 min.)
Hops:
Continuously Hopped
- 2 oz Amarillo
- 0.5 oz Simcoe
- 0.5 oz Warrior
Dry Hopped:
- 1 oz Amarillo
- 0.5 oz Simcoe
- 0.5 oz Warrior
Yeast:
- Wyeast #1056 American Ale Yeast.
Method:
- Steep specialty grains at 150F for 30 minutes in 6 Gals of water.
- Remove steeped grains.
- Add fermentables and raise temperature to boiling.
- Once the syrups have dissolved begin adding the continuous hop additions.
I tend to add them even every 5 to 10 minutes over the 90 minute boil time.
- Transfer wort to fermentation chamber and let cool.
- Add yeast and rest of hops.
- Let ferment for a week.
- Bottle.
